Should the UFC Suspend Renato “Babalu” Sobral?
If you tuned in Saturday night to see UFC 74 you might have noticed a huge blood stain in the middle of the ring. If you’re like me you were probably hoping that UFC would air the bloody match at sometime during the evening. The match that left the bloodstain never aired though. In one of the undercard matches Renato “Babalu” Sobral beat David Heath to a bloody pulp. “Babalu” mounted David Heath and started raining down on him and once Heath was cut he starting flowing red. Both Heath and Babalu were covered in blood and as you could see there was a huge bloodstain on the mat. So why didn’t the UFC air the match? It was a bloody beatdown, which as disturbing as it might sound is exactly what the UFC fans like. The reason the UFC didn’t air the match is because there was a controversial ending to the match.
