Should the U.S. constitution be rewritten for modern times, and why?

The US Constitution WAS written for modern times. That’s why we are able to ammend it when necessary. Personally, I don’t think anything in the Constutution needs changing. It’s just fine as it stands. We can make laws as needed without mucking up the framework. (Although we have far too many laws.) I WOULD like to see the end of attempting to apply modern definitions to the wording of the Constitution. We are supposed to follow “the spirit of the law” not simply change the definitions of words in order to divert the meaning of the original framers of the Constitution without the proper ratification.

I don’t believe so much that it should be changed or rewritten completely, but that I would like to see the US Supreme Court write their interpretations of the laws and amendments so that the common man can actually understand them, it’s difficult for an uneducated person to understand the exact laws, and I think that by keeping the old document, with a modern translation it would help the majority of the population.
