Should the U.S. adopt universal health care?

Yes they should. I don’t care what other people think saying that the waits will be longer and the care will be poorer. I live in Canada where Tommy Douglas fought for universal healthcare. I don’t think the US understands that we pay a little more in taxes to get this healthcare and that it’s operated by the government. Yes, we don’t have private healthcare but we also don’t have $15,000+ medical bills and have to choose which finger we can afford to have sewn back on. Obama isn’t trying to make healthcare worse in the US, he’s trying to make it better. The debt that some people are in because of bills from hospitals is astronomical. Nothing compared to what it would be like if they paid a little more in taxes. They want universal healthcare but a majority of them don’t want to pay higher taxes and have it run by the government. Well, tough luck because that’s probably the only way it can happen!
