Should the State of Connecticut assume control over the development of Fairfields third train station project?
I am a strong proponent of local control. There are, however, exceptions. There are those things that should be done by the Federal government (like defense), and those that are appropriate for local governments (like trash removal). The development of Fairfield’s third train station project, with all the surrounding controversy, is an example of a responsibility that should be raised to the state level because of the competing interests at play.
