While on the hunt to find a Whitesburg fugitive, officers uncovered 28 separate discarded and used methamphetamine labs at two homes connected to the wanted man. On Friday, while officers with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and Carrollton Police Department’s joint task force, the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement unit, were trying to locate Joey Lee Brown, who is wanted for seven outstanding warrants including theft, burglary and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, they discovered 20 separate meth labs that were contained in soda bottles in a yard behind a mobile home in Cook’s Mobile Home Park on East Mile Road in Whitesburg, according to sheriff’s Investigator Telisha Gibson. Gibson said when officers first arrived at the mobile home on Lot 7, believing Brown might be inside, they could see several bottles that had been converted into individual methamphetamin
