Should the Media be made accountable for false statements!?
Too late…the horse has already bolted on that one…”we” the collective masses have given the media way too much leeway over the past decade or so without questioning the media ‘agenda”…the result now is objective “journalism” as we use to know it does not exist anymore…even a once quality program like “60 minutes” is indistinguishable from the tabloid rubbish like Current affair and Today tonight… The only way to counter it is for us as individuals to question and look for the truth through all the lies perpetrated by unethical rats who pass themselves off as “journalists” and the motivation behind why a News Ltd paper for example would target a particular athlete or a sporting code. We need have our bull sh*% detector perfectly tuned. But you’re right..they should be made accountable , but sadly the end of objective journalism ( whether in sport, politics or anything else you care to mention) happened long before this latest debacle.
