Should the legal smoking age be lowered to 16?
Cigarettes should be illegal (coming from and ex-smoker; personal opinion). I don’t see that happening any time soon though. Since it is not going to be made illegal, the min age should stay at 18. There has to be a limit and I think if you are old enough to fight/die for our country you should be able to decide what can and cannot go into your body! At 16 I don’t feel as though you are responsible enough to make these kinds of decisions. You will undoubtedly disagree, but that is b.c you are 16 and you still know everything….give it a few years and you will realize how little you know now (LOL I realize that more and more every day). Best of luck and seriously look into the long term effects of smoking. It will be a lot easier on your body if you quit sooner rather than later.
