Should the government regulate the terms of cell phone service contracts?
The last thing the American people need in their daily lives is more government regulation. Any legislation passed by the federal government under the guise of helping the consumers always has an undertone of self enrichment for the politicians. Perhaps in the past such things were necessary to regulate monopolies, largely monopolies that were established either under the direction of the federal government, or with it’s approval. The cellular phone industry has made huge advancements in it’s service, technology and deliverable products in just the past ten years. Every region of the country has a number of choices from which cellular service is available. There are currently no monopolies in the cellular phone market, therefore no regulation is needed. Let the government go about the business of governing more important matters than my cell phone service. If the federal government wants to do something about my cell phone bill, let them ease up on the multitude of taxes that are impos
