Should the government allow prayer in school?
It depends on where you live. If you live in a nation with an official religion, such as Vatican City or Britain or Saudi Arabia, the law there may force prayer in all schools. Whether they “should” is another question; they can if they want to. However, if you live in the United States, the government permits silent prayer any time a student feels like it, and also permits voluntary prayer clubs to meet after or before school. The U.S. does not permit public schools to FORCE students to say prayers, listen to prayers, sing prayers, etc., or swear religious oaths, such as the Pledge of Allegiance. The U.S. does not permit public schools to do any of the foregoing except the Pledge even if the students all vote to do so. This is to protect religious minorities from the “tyranny of the majority,” and is a protection guaranteed by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
