Should the federal government eliminate income taxes in favor of a national sales tax? Why or why not?

Not until they change the constitution to prevent them from re-instituting an income tax after the national sales tax is in place. Also, I think the actual tax rate would need to be so high that we would all wind up paying more in taxes than we do right now. Just my opinion.
