Should the coolant recovery tank loose water over time?
The dealer checked for leaks and found none, but I’ve had to add coolant from time to time. – Rick, from Florida. No, it is a sealed system. It should never need filling, only regularly scheduled coolant flushing. You either have an external leak or the engine is burning coolant. Either way, it’s not good. 544. I have a 2001 LE PT.
