Should television sets have energy ratings like refrigerators and other appliances?

No…all they really do is shoot a beam of light at the screen and stuff…nothing that requires much energy so it shouldnt need a high power rating. Fridges use looooads more energy because they have to produce (cold) heat constantly so they must have high power ratings. Appliances that produce energy should have high power ratings because they use the more energy than other appliances that create other energy forms.
