Should Speedwatchers operate several miles from their communities, so there is no conflict with friends of family?
Friends or family who are driving may in a few minutes be a few miles away. We being a few miles away confronted with reporting friends or family is no different to being in the next street. Speedwatchers, despite reports to the opposite, have a sense of humour, reporting friends or family will take place and those reported are going to get their legs pulled! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Where was Speedwatch in the cold spell, asks Piston Head members? We were out and about seeing the roads were gritted from a rapidly dwindling supply and ensuring where black ice was causing crashes (14 in our village), warning signs were in place. We also helped motorists who got stuck in the snow by towing them out! So, we were NOT hiding behind netted curtains but out helping in the community!
