Should shelters use designer breed dog names (like labradoodle) in the interest of getting the dog a home?

I think it is wrong for shelters to use designer names for mixed breeds. Why? Because using designer names perpetuates the myth that certain mixed breed dogs are “purebred” Thusly…the shelters are giving credence to designer dogs When someone sees one of these rescues and asks the owner what it is, the owner will tell them the designer name The someone will then get on this list and ask where they can get one. Then they will do a www search anyway and fing a designer puppy mill and buy one, sight unseen, and have it shipped to them Someone will go into the puppy mill and “rescue” the dogs, put them in shelters for adoption. The shelter will tell John Q “this is a designer dog….” and on and on Because John Q public is unknowledgeable, naive, gullible and way too many people are way too influenced by “designer” anything.
