Should Schools Block Gay Sites?
17-year-old Andrew Emitt was surprised to find that access to gay-related sites on his school computer was prohibited, ABC News reports. The gay Tennessee teen was searching for information on LGBT scholarships and LGBT-friendly colleges when he discovered that the only gay-related sites he could view were those hosted by ex-gay reparative therapy groups. Emitt says that LGBT students shouldn’t be kept in the dark about LGBT issues in school and that his intentions were to gather information on college, not socialize.
