yes why: a. the locker is school property owned by the state b. you are a minor c. you give up your rights to personal privacy because you are told that illegal substances are not allowed on campus… d. suspicion=probable cause e. a right to privacy is not a right to break the law f.

yes they do have the right to conduct random locker searches those lockers are not private they are property of the school system and they keep students (like yourself safe)

Well…… Are schools are not real safe these days. If and only if the locker search is random truly random and not targeting certain “types” of kids. Say the “stoner’s” are not targeting one day and the “goth” kids the next but the “jocks” never get theres searched. This of course is opening a huge can of warms. One of my teenagers say he never uses his locker. He is also a “long hair” and gets crap over this. Will my child because he has longer hair then some of the girls be targeted more then the other kids? One of his buddies is a “stoner” and a “scrapper”, does this mean he is going to get targeting more then the “preppy” kid in track? The lockers are there for the kids to use, but are not owned by the kids. They are there for the child to borrow while in school. Therefor this might be a legal situation here.
