Rudraksha is best if worn in a metal be it silver or Gold or copper or Punchdhatu. It has electrical and magnetic properties which enhances when worn with metal. This was proved conclusively by scientific tests in Book Rudraksa by Suhas Rai. Also one can see saints and yogis of India wearing rosaries strung in silver or copper.
