Should reviews, inspections and audits of IT or records management activities be included in the LSN?
A. Reviews, inspections and audits of any IT or records management functions determined to be important to safety or waste isolation, such as certain records management activities and specialized software used for the repository performance assessment, should be included. Quality records that report the results of reviews, inspections and audits are required to be maintained by 10 CFR 63.142. Information on inspections and audits can be found in Sections 2.5.1.3 Acceptance Criteria 10 and 18 respectively of the Yucca Mountain Review Plan.
