Should reptiles be kept as pets?
Asking “should” they be kept as pets is a hard question to answer because everyone has their own veiw of pets and keeping domestic animals. However if your asking can reptials be kept as pets or if they make good pets is a different matter. Reptials can make great pets if you have the money to put into their initial set up. They often need special lighting and heating needs. You also need to be well educated on their diet, the number one killer of pet reptials(excluding snakes) is Metabolic Bone Disease. This is a disease that causes skeletal deformaties due to poor diet. Also some reptials are not leagal to keep in some areas. I personally think they are cool to watch and neat to have so I would be in agreement to keeping them as pets.
