It is shameful the way Britain is bound hand and foot to the US and the EU, and also how new Labour have gone in for dangerous constitutional initiatives to blind the people to big business GRINDING THE FACES OF THE POOR. Historically, the monarchy has often voiced common sense. In 1780, while the politicians were dithering over the Gordon Riots, it was George III (of all people) who said, ‘I am chief magistrate, and if you’re not going to restore order, I will.’ But alas, I do not see the like happening at the moment. Elizabeth II is far to committed to another source of weakness and confusion, the Commonwealth.
