No, they shouldn’t be illegal, but neither should any of the other drugs. The United States looks like a country of fools and hypocrites when it preaches “fighting for freedom” when it’s busy waging a war against it’s own people (war on drugs) and taking away their basic human right to put what they want in their own bodies. I don’t think they’re dangerous, but then again, not much research has been done on their health effects in humans. Of course, the government would rather remain ignorant, make it illegal, and say “we don’t know if they’re bad, but why take the chance. Until more is known about this drug, we must protect the citizens by imprisoning record numbers of people and tearing families apart.” And then, of course, they never bother funding any research for the drug or if research comes up saying a drug isn’t dangerous and may even be beneficial (like marijuana), they fund some biased, flawed research that points to different conclusions.
