Should Prpviders of Organizational Training in anger management use a more positive term to describe “anger management?
Anger management is now routinely mandated for physicians, attorneys and executives as well as the general publlic. Many Hospital Administrators and other executives frequently request changing the definition of the training or intervention to something more positive. Some examples are: etiquette, charm training, civility training, leadership training, emotional intelligence and professional development. The term anger management is used by courts, HR managers as well as the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations relative to “disruptive physicians.
