Should prisoners live in luxury prison or live in very bad ones?
Hi prison is not a place to be enjoyed but one to repent in .being locked up for most of the day is supposed to give one time to think about what he or she has done as there freedom has been taken a way from them this is part of the punishment .prison’s have changed over the past years greatly,and the punishment these days doe’s not fit the crime.prisoners enjoy the stay in prison because they now get a lot of the luxury’s they would never get on the out side ie three meals a day TV in there sells mobile phones,swimming pools ,they can even study for a degree .I am not saying that all prisoners like being locked up .they do get the chance to work in the prison and receive a small wage which they can spend on cigarettes and other luxury’s ,so you see my dear prison is not such a bad place after all .
Prisoners should be kept confined in reasonable surroundings, secure and not luxurious but certainly not bad conditions which will result in poor health etc. Prison Reform. In my view a person is sent to prison as a punishment for a crime or crimes they have been found guilty of committing. Such a person should not simply be ‘banged up’ but must be given evey opportunity to learn new skills and to reform if possible.
I know you want a one sided arguement but i have to say they’re should be a middle groundit should be punishment and rehabilitation not a bad quality prison and especially not in violation of human rights but neither should it be luxurious they layout should be spartan only what is necessary and prisoners should be encouraged to read And to stranger- thats a load of bollox the prisons in ireland have rec rooms really nice pool tablkes a gym all the in mates have mobile phones for **** sake dont you read the news, what about the last fella who WAS FIGHTING TO BECOME KING OF THE TRAVELERS HE GOT HIMSELF INCARCERATED FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS PRIOR TO THE FIGHT TO USE THEY’RE GYM
