Should Portland rename Interstate Ave?
I for one oppose changing the name of Interstate Ave to Cesar Chavez Blvd. It is unnecessary, it places a financial burden on the businesses, and residents located on the Avenue (not to mention Oregon taxpayers), and it’s a poor use of Portland’s tax funds during a time when we could be spending the money on our public school system (or other well deserving opportunities). This change will cost over $100,000 of our hard earned money and it’s something that I refuse to pay for.
