Should polygamous marriage be legalized along with gay marriage?
Yes, polygamous marriages should be legalized. Those who claim Biblical reasons had better learn more about their Bible..Actually the Bible does not say if there should be Polygamous, monogamous or celibate. However there were many polygamous marriages in the Old Testament and nowhere in the New Testament was it ever changed. Because there are more women than men it would allow more women desiring to marry to marry and in the overall idea of polygamy it is very good for the women and very hard for the men and I am not talking sex here either. One thing to know…Christian polygamy is NOT like Mormon polygamy. Christian polygamy is not forced. Here is some information on polygamy to help others understand.
The two have little relation to each other. If you want to talk about polygamous marriage, find some people who want to have polygamous marriage, and get their point of view — listen to their arguments. Then listen to the other side too… see who has the best set of points. The gay marriage argument has already been won by those who feel it should be legalized, because the anti- side has yet to mount a meaningful argument to counter. Now we’re just waiting for the ignorance and superstition of the past to get flushed out through the digestive system of history.
Well Gay marriage is straighforward… poly marriages would be a lto more complex, more complicated law would have to be written, some number limits to think about, would we allow 2 men getting married to same woman…. the list goes on and on, gosh in case of divorce, should both fathers, both mothers be responsible for child support…. although in this economy it is sounding like a better and better idea everyday… many incomes yippie!
