No, it is not justice for humans who kill animals to receive the same punishment as humans who kill humans. If that were the case, all the people who ever ate any meat would be worthy of death row (or at least be an accessory to murder). I think your anger towards people who hurt animals is a reflection of your own aggressive drive (very similar to theirs). The reason you become so angry at their behaviour, is because they shed light on the traits within yourself that you hate. It seems to me that you are already partly aware that those who deliberately torture animals have anger issues very similar to your own. Continue on that path of self-discovery and you’ll be okay… but forget about bringing others to justice for acts of cruelty until you’ve eliminated your own cruel streak.
