I don’t think it affects LimeWire. After all, LimeWire is just a program that allows users to share and download unprotected MP3 files, which will always operate the same way regardless of the iTunes version. The people who really shouldn’t upgrade their iTunes software are those who wish to purchase songs from the iTunes Music Store and then circumvent the DRM. Upgrading your iTunes software will close many of the vulnerabilities in the DRM code that are commonly exploited for this purpose.
