Should parents have a right to smack their children?

0

Parents DO have a right to smack their children for “reasonable” chastisement. This does not mean they have a right to assault their children violently. Personally, I can’t envisage really having to do this to my daughter. She seems to respond positively to being praised for doing things right, rather than punished for doing things wrong.
