There are only TWO ways you can find out: amniocentesis (a shot that goes into the womb and gets amniotic fluid – somewhat dangerous to the fetus) and ultrasound (almost no known dangers, but the gender can’t be determined sometimes until after 20 weeks, by which time most states have laws that ban abortion. You usually can’t get an abortion if the fetus is past 20 weeks gestation). If you find out via ultrasound, you may have to wait until 20 weeks to actually make out what the gender is (sure you can have ultrasounds before, but usually it’s very unclear).
