P2P file sharing software is legal in the US and most western countries. What is illegal, even in canada ;-), is the sharing of copyrighted materials such as songs and movies.

Hi There, I think in Theory P2P file sharing is a Great Idea. Un fortunately the Big Record companies & studios don’t. They think they are missing out on their Big Fat Royalty Cheques. But more &more things are coming out like youtube.com and others. The other drawback is Viruses picked up from certain File Transfers.
