Should Ozarks Unbound allow comments without requiring registration?

The vote on this issue was much closer than I ever thought it would be. I’d assumed everyone wanted me to jettison the registration system and allow more unregistered comments. Some of you didn’t feel that way. Some thought I should hold the same standard as a Letter to the Editor. Initially, I agreed. Now, I’m just not so sure that’s best on a small site online. Maybe I’ll revisit it again in a year and see what people think. The irony is that immediately after I commented about how quiet it’s been around Ozarks Unbound, at least six comments sprouted up over the next few days. I want to think everyone who took the time to vote in this poll. I’m continuing to experiment and will certainly make other false steps as I push forward. Now you won’t have to register to tell me what I’m doing wrong.
