Should nearly 3 million Tibetan people inside Tibet be ignored ?
No, but China feels it is above all international laws. China should give up Tibet once and for all. They have made sure to populate Tibet with a vast amount of han Chinese since 1949, by opening up a rail line with the same intentions as the Albanians did in Kosovo. They want to keep Tibet for many reasons, to save face and because they don’t like the Dali Lama interfering in their affairs. If he were to go to China for talks, they would most likely try to detain him or jail him as a “dissident”. This would put them in an unfavourable light, but as they are so powerful, they may be indifferent to the criticism. What people can do is boycott “made in China” products, pressure stores like Wal-mart, Sears, dollar stores, etc. to stop importing from China, contact your MPP’s and support Tibetans. As for an Olympic boycott, it’s too late for that.They should have proposed China improve it’s human rights before they were awarded the Olympics. It would not be fair to all the athletes to boyc
