Should my son be punished for landing a biplane on the roof?
Egads! If he were my son, I would be raiding his University fund for the cost of repairs to both the mansion and the aircraft- bye bye Oxbridge! I would then have him help the dedicated volunteers who repair and rebuild these vintage aircraft, so as to educate him that these machines are really beautiful and complicated pieces of engineering and not to be toyed with. Then I would do the same ap pro po working with a builder or roofer, so he knows just how something that may seem at the time a merry jape can hve such serious structural implications. He is very lucky that he wasn’t hurt seriously or even killed.
