Should my cat still be bleeding 3 days after giving birth?
It’s common for a them to hemorrhage for 3-5 days after giving birth, but the bleeding can continue for up to 7 days. Just to make sure though, take her to the vet and ask for a post-nasal checkup, and while you are there, have him give her an oxytocin injection. THat will help her eject anything left behind, shrink the uterus and help with milk production. Make note of if there is any other discharge, as this may indicate infection in the uterus. If the bleeding is continuously heavy and bright red, normal blood color, get to the vet right away.
