Should my 10 year old daughter be allowed to read the “Twilight books?

0

My 10 year old daughter has read the first two books. They seemed relatively harmless, and she was able to use them for AR testing at her school. I was concerned about things I had heard regarding the content of books three and four, so I talked to parents who had read the books and also had daughters. Their recommendation on book three was that she shouldn’t read it until she was at least 12 or 13. For book four, they felt the content was not appropriate until she is in high school. Normally, I would have just read the books myself and decided, but I have an aversion to “gothic romance” novels. I do, however, trust the opinion of the people I talked to for advice.
