Should Muslims who practice polygamy be allowed extra welfare benefits for their extra wives and kids?
I assume Muslims who have multiple wives are like the FLDS and don’t get marriage licenses for them all. They aren’t breaking any civil laws if their only ‘marriage’ is religious not civil. The women can and do apply for aid for dependent children, food stamps and welfare. They live outside the law. They can’t call the police for domestic violence because their whole family would be busted. It’s a terrible way to live in America. In France, there are probably 300,000 of them. They have their own native language TV stations and the women never leave home. They don’t learn the language and they can’t work. They are desperately poor and riot a lot. It’s a real mess. We don’t want to go that direction. There are so many immigration issues that we are not even trying to solve. I don’t see this one being much of a priority, unfortuanately.
