SHOULD MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS IN INDIA BE PRIVATISED FOR CLEANER AND SAFER SURROUNDINGS?
Interestingly Municipal corporations have outsourced the cleaning of roads etc to third party contractors. What we need is accountability and responsibility. No one cares if the third party contractor does not clean regularly. I would love to see if the Municipalities can give the money to the local welfare unions/ local housing societies to manage them instead of giving to the contractors.
