Should Motorway speed limits be raised in the UK?
Personally yes, on certain stretches of motorway at least, many people ignore the 70 limit now anyway, unless there’s a police car driving along or your speed camera detector goes off. Anywhere that’s 4 lane traffic and most 3 lane stretches should have the limit raised though, and anyone uncomfortable with travelling over that just stick to the left hand lane, however if this was to happen I would also recommend restrictions on younger drivers, as I’m only 19 myself I know that sounds an odd thing to say but I know so many idiots from college who have crashed their cars and some who have even died, they think they know how to handle a car at speed but so many obviously haven’t a clue, an increased limit would make them even worse without some sort of extra tests or age restrictions.
