Should Motley Fool Stock Advisor ad have disclosure statement?
Th Motley Fool Stock Advisor is advertising the fact that 26 of their stock picks have doubled since April 2002. First of all, the ad doesn’t say what the total number of their stock picks are, could be 2600. Also, Vanguard Global Equity Fund, a less volatile pick, has returned 148% with re-invested dividends in the same time-frame. Do you think these ads should have better disclosure, like medicines and cigarettes, since they could harm your life savings?
