Should mothers recieve tokens instead of cash for child support!?

Well the way I see it, as long as the child is cared for, clean, has clothes and food, the father can’t specify how the support money is to be used….. Personally, I have arranged for my CSA money to be paid straight to my daughter, into a savings account as it’s not my money…

That would just create a black market in vouchers. Those mothers who want abuse the system would simply sell their vouchers at a discount and the dealer would sell them on at a lower discount to people who want to buy food and baby clothes.

my ex has not paid a penny for my two in nearly 5 years and has not seen them in 2, it is not a problem as i have now remarried and they call my husband dad as he cares for them however in the early days when i was on my own i asked my ex for support and he said no, i went to csa and they could not find him as he moved and gave up his jobs everytime they found him, i asked him to put money on a gift card for asda for food and clothes or for vouchers for mothercare or adams but again he refused, he said they didn’t live with him so he wouldn’t pay.

No, because tokens would have to redeemable at certain stores only chosen by the government, such as Tesco, to add to the monopoly already these stores have in some areas where they are attempting to flush out smaller local businesses……

I used to think along these lines too. Then I became a single mother, and realised exactly how hard it is to support your children and give them everything they need. I also realised how much you go without yourself to ensure that your children have the best of everything. Walk a mile in someone else’s shoes before you judge.
