Should Marvel disney buy out d.c. comics superman batman catwoman, wonderwman, flash, green lantern?
D.C. Comics is owned by Time Warner – they seem to be doing all right in the comics industry, 2nd in sales to Marvel. I doubt Time Warner would sell off their comic book franchises to Disney, which is one of their biggest competitors. Let’s wait and see how Disney does running Marvel before we make any predictions on future mergers and acquisitions. How well the comic-book movies perform has very little to do with the publishing side of the business. For every “Batman Returns” or “Dark Knight”, there’s a “Batman and Robin”. For every good “X-Men” movie, there’s a crappy Marvel movie like “Elektra”.
