Should marijuana for medicinal purposes be legal?

I say no. Real medicinal marijuana use was by the medicine man, shaman, etc. so he/she could have visions of how to treat the sick and never given to the sick person as treatment. This current “medical” use stuff is just a red herring so those who want to use marijuana can do so legally. I’m all for legalizing hemp as a source of fabric and rope, but not as a drug or food supplement.
