Should Major League Baseball expand their playoffs?

The problem is unlike basketball and hockey which play indoors and football which play in any type of weather, baseball has to rely to playing on non-raining and snowy days. As it is there’s a chance for snow in the north at the beginning and end of the season. By expanding the playoffs you’d either need to shorten the season or schedule more doubleheaders. I think eventually the potential money generated from expanding the playoffs will cause baseball to add 2 or 4 more wild card teams but the other teams will have to agree to a shorten season which will take money out of their pocket. The additional revenue will have to offset the money lost from cutting out 4 home games for each team.
