Put your trust in the professionals. I’m sure there are risks involved and they have to inform you of the risks before they perform the lumbar puncture. Ask how often it is done on infants. I work with adults and we perform these frequently and I’ve never seen any ill effects from it but I’m not sure about infants. I wish you the best of luck with your precious new little one.
