Should Local police officers help enforce U.S. Immigration laws?
Let us get something straight! All law enforcement officers of the United States (local, county, state, and federal) must ENFORCE all federal laws including US Code 8. They took an oath to up hold the laws of the United States and swore with a “so help me God”. Remember that Mr. Police Officer, remember that Mr. State Police, remember that Mr. FBI, remember that Mr. Border Patrol, remember that Mr. ICE?!! You all took an oath and DO NOT LISTEN to your executive in command if they tell you to look the other way, because they are breaking the law. You all have to enforce the law. IT IS THAT SIMPLE! If the local police apprehend illegal immigrants through their regular police work then they just hold them in jail until ICE comes to pick them up and later determine if they should be deported. The excuse there is not enough holding bay areas or funding is a lot a hot air! There is funding for this.
