Kate Winslet is magnificent. Her early scenes with the wonderful David Kross are filled with compelling, contradictory and totally believable undertones.This has got to be the best performance, of her already stellar career. The movie is depressing overall. But Kate’s performance alone, makes seeing this film worthwhile.
