Should it be mandatory that elderly drivers re-take road tests for their licenses.?
All senior drivers in Ontario are checked. In addition, it is the law for our family physicians to report and for the licence bureau, to take away driver licences if they are too ill to drive. Warning signs of unsafe driving include: * Forgetting how to locate familiar places * Failing to observe traffic signals * Making slow or poor decisions * Problems with changing lanes or making turns * Hitting the curb while driving * Driving at an inappropriate speed (esp. under the speed limit) * Becoming angry and confused while driving * Confusing the brake and gas pedal * Lane crossing * Failing to check blind spots * Failing to look both ways before entering traffic Report unsafe drivers to the police.
