Should it be illegal to sell alcoholic drinks/cigerettes to pregnant women?
laws should never take rights away from someone once they have reach the age limit, if your old enough to buy it your old enough to decide for yourself whether your going to do something, if the womans doctor doesn’t tell her to stop then laws shouldn’t get involved at all, now if she is specifically told your baby is at a high risk for (insert random disease) and you shouldn’t smoke/drink then if the woman does anyways she should be able to be fined for child endangerment but under normal circumstances there is no way in hell that i would agree with making selling to pregnant women illegal.
I’m not sure, what an interesting question. I can’t understand women who smoke and/or drink during pregnancy, personally, I want to know that if *god forbid* something happens to my child, that I had nothing to do with it, and did all I could to do the best for my baby. I also believe that if a lot of alcohol can harm your baby a lot, a little alcohol can harm your baby a little, and a little is too much for me. However, everyone has free choice. I have noticed recently though on some alcohol here (UK), there are advisory warnings now to pregnant women. Plus, all drugs are illegal fullstop, and some pregnant women still take them, unfortunately if people want to do something they will find a way, no matter how wrong it is.
