Should I use Wellbutrin™ or Zyban™ to quit with this program?
A. People in my classes ask me about Wellbutrin or Zyban (which are actually the same drug with different names) all the time. These drugs are simply anti-depressants—I like to call them Prozac for smokers—and have not been shown to make you any more likely to quit smoking with this program. Some people have found that Wellbutrin or Zyban does take the edge off. Other people say these drugs don’t do anything. And still others say these drugs had them so screwed up at the end of the day that they could not even tie their shoes. I really do not think these drugs are necessary at all, but if you do want to take them let us know and we can tell you when to take them so work best for you.
