Should I use the standard painted steel bottom bars, or select the upgraded extruded aluminum painted bottom bar?
It depends on two things. Some people simply prefer the look of one over the other. For most people, the standard steel bar is fine. However, if you are in an exceptionally humid climate, we recommend the aluminum, as it would not ever rust–especially if you are ordering exterior shades. Keep in mind that there is an upcharge for extruded aluminum of $1.50/linear foot.
